Shri Maheshwari Samaj, Kota came into existence in the year 1946 under the leadership of late Shri Ramchandra Kabra and late Shri Shrinath Darak. They were instrumental in shaping the functioning of Maheshwari Samaj, Kota. In 1949 Late Shri Mangilal Chaper donated a building to Maheshwari Samaj to be used as hostel and he designated late Shri Shankarlal Lohiya. Late Shri Bhanwar Lal Khuwal, Late Shri Puroshottam lal Mantri, Late Shri Chothmal Soni and Late Shri Gopal Nyati as patron of the Maheshwari Samaj, Kota. The continuous progress of the Maheshwari Samaj is the dream child of these patrons who tried their best to bring the Samaj for the upliftment empowerment of the people of Kota. Their untiring efforts have brought name and fame to Maheshwari Samaj.
With the dedicated efforts of Ex-President and the then Secretary of Shri Maheshwari Samaj, Kota Shri Anand Swaroop Rathi, the School land was allotted to Shri Maheshwari Samaj, Kota in the year 2001.
The work of Maheshwari Public School, Kota was started on 14th September 2002 under the leadership of the President of Shri Maheshwari Samaj, Kota Shri Om Prakash Khulwal. Under the continuous guidance of erstwhile President Shri Gordhandas Khulwal the construction of the school building progressed well. At present Shri Maheshwari Samaj through the Education Committee of maheshwari samaj (ECMS) is fulfilling all the infra structural and other requirements of the school. MPS feels proud to have Shri Rajesh Krishna Birla, a well known social worker & Businessman and Shri BIthal Das Mundra a very amicable industrialist and supportive Secretary of the school. They are enriching the school with their wide range of experience and eminently providing all the support to make the school one of the best schools of the city.
Holistic Education is the motto of Shri Maheshwari Samaj for its institutions. Maheshwari Public School in different parts of the country is already a name for quality school education. At Kota, Maheshwari Public School has started its first academic session in April 2006 for the classes Nursery to VII. Every year one new class was added. The school is a full-fledged 10+2 school having Science/Commerce streams now. The design and infrastructure is one of is one of the best at Kota. It has got its recognition from central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in its second session 2007-08, and upgraded for Sr. Secondary in its fourth session 2009-10.
